Full Time Pediatric Speech Therapist

Mealtime Connections, LLC is an outpatient pediatric feeding clinic providing occupational, physical and speech therapy services for children with a wide range of developmental abilities with expertise in the area of complex feeding, eating and swallowing deficits. We value the family/caregivers as an integral part of the child’s team and the therapist’s ability to integrate the family goals and priorities in to their evidence based intervention. We are seeking a pediatric physical therapist to join our dynamic team! Preferred candidates will be able to contribute to the overall success of the clinic by providing the highest standard of evidenced based practice through independent critical thinking to achieve clinical outcomes for children and their families.

Essential Job Functions

  • Evaluating and treating feeding, swallowing, expressive and receptive communication skills, articulation, phonological development, and pragmatic language function being respectful of cultural, social, economic, and learning diversity
  • Establishing family/client centered goals, treatment planning, patient education and home program, and discharge planning in line with family priorities and industry standards for episodes of care
  • Participating in bi-monthly staff training and contributing to ongoing education per professional development plan
  • Managing caseload ensuring weekly/monthly productivity standards are met or exceeded
  • Delivering highest standard of care through collaboration with multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists and nutritional dietitians
  • Supporting pediatric care by participating in physical activity that includes standing, sitting, squatting, crawling, pulling, floor based play and lifting up to 50 pounds

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or Higher in Speech and Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Licensed in the State of Arizona (or eligible to be licensed, must be obtain licensure prior to start date)
  • Pediatric experience
  • Finger Print Clearance Card (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
  • Current CPR Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training or experience in feeding/eating/swallowing intervention
  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Proficiency in Spanish

Salary Range

  • Commensurate with experience
